Too good to be true.....

This is fantastic. Mary Liss/Stade, former "owner" and operator of the Portland Reign, is in some big trouble. Courtesy of the Portland Tribune and The Tacoma News Tribune.

The best part about Mary is she spent so much time and energy denying she was a crook and fraud. I received multiple phone calls from her denying any wrongdoing, yet it is my understanding she completely cleaned out anyone who had anything to do financially with the Reign, including at least one former NBA player.

More amazing may be the fact that the IBL, a league that is struggling to be legitimate, would allow her to be a part of this league not just once, but twice with teams in Portland and now Tacoma. Someone tell me what is the purpose of "minor league basketball?" that isn't named the NBDL? If you are good enough, and want to work your way up, there are two ways not named the NCAA
1) NBDL
2) European Leagues
If you can't cut it in one of those leagues, then give up the dream, get a real job, and move on with your life.

Thank you and goodbye,
Ian
